London Wedding Photography - Art Deco Wandsworth Town Hall followed by a late party at Brixton East!
Last year, I left South East part of the city for the equally leafy South West side, to photograph Chloe and Felipe's fabulous London wedding. Whilst I expected to begin my reportage with the groom getting prepared for the big day, I was ordered to sit and eat with his incredibly hospitable Brazilian family! After a good feed (and a few photographs), I went the short trek to document the bride and her bridesmaids.
One thing that struck me about Chloe and Felipe early on was that they NEVER stop smiling. Seriously - it's exciting on the morning of your wedding day, but they didn't display any nerves, and were enjoying the company of friends and making everyone feel very welcome.
The ceremony was at the art deco Wandsworth Town Hall. Beautiful early 20th century windows and panelling allow's lots of natural light to pour in, with plenty of room for guests and rampaging young children. Chloe arrived looking stunning in a very elegant number, and joined dapper Felipe in entering the ceremony together, to the whoops and cheers of their friends and family.
For the meal we jumped on the open top bus, and drove over to Brixton East. This large, stunning venue is tucked away beyond the indoor food markets, which a long elegant but modern dining room, and a huge open dance floor upstairs. A delicious Mediterranean meal followed, succeeded by cake and chocolates made by a master chocolatier from Brazil who has a royal warrant! At the groom's stipulation, I took a few away... So. Good. Revived and fed, everyone partied into the night, played along by a local based Samba band getting the party rocking. Hurrah!
